Well...it's been a nice ride, but tomorrow I have to have this thing turned in by 5pm. I'm a little sad to see it go, even though there are computers at home and even though this thing is a piece of crap...I still want to have it plugged in all the time so I can talk to people...

oh well, all things have to come to and end at some point, right? (totally stolen out of my closing story from my senior yearbook)

With my high school graduation coming up I cant help but think back on the past year...hm...okay I'm done :) I'm so looking forward to the next year and years of my life, I cant wait to see what is in store for me here at UIS!!! I have some pics to post from my last few days in LRH, but I took the cable that goes from my camera to my laptop home...so that will have to wait until I have some free time at home :) which my be a while :)

SO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THE MOST AWESOME STORY OF MY LIFE!!!!

ok so last night we had some really bad thunderstorms come through springfield right? okay so I fell asleep (finally) at about 1:30 or 2. I was startled from my slumber at around 5am with some MASSIVE thunder and lightning. I layed there for about an hour and by the time about 6:15 rolled around I was just getting back to sleep. About 10 minutes later, I was kinda half-looking out my window when I saw this HUGE brightness in my room...so yes, lightning, no big deal. well I heard a crack and really loud thunder right after i saw it and all of a sudden, I hear this beeping coming from the hall. I grabbed my keys and my cell phone and met Rachel in the suite foyer. I was like is that the tornado siren? and then I thought for a second and I was like dangit! thats the gosh darn fire alarm. So I told Rachel, 'okay i have my keys and my purse' which i clearly did not, and that reminded me I needed my purse so I went back in my room and got my purse and shockingly enough I was clear-headed enough to put some shoes on. Well we got downstairs and outside (we stood right outside the doors) and then after we were let back inside I fell asleep until my Dad got here at 9:30ish. I got back from lunch with Dad and had just finished packing the Nav and sending Dad off, I walked inside and heard Hannah talking at the front desk. I heard her say that she was talking to one of the maintenance guys and he said that lightning really did strike LRH last night and that it blew a piece of Limestone off the side of the building! They were up there covering it up today in preparation for the storms we had tonight!

I KNOW, GREATEST STORY OF MY LIFE, RIGHT?

Okay seriously, I know its my last night in LRH but it has been one of the longest nights of my life, hopefully my speech goes okay tomorrow and I can keep my A in the class. I just want to pack up my car and head home! That's all I'm lookin to do now and hopefully I'll get up early tomorrow and pack my car and then get ready for my speech and then after class I can stop by Jim and Bob's and drop some stuff off and then get the heck home!

So okay, I've been thinking (and remember it's almost 2am) and I really wish music videos would come on earlier in the night...like maybe midnight. It's easier for me to fall asleep to music than it is for me to fall asleep watching TV kuz sometimes TV is distracting and really what the crap is on at 2am? info-mercials? not good, kuz I love info-mercials and I get distracted! So why would you call it MTV if you arent going to play music? I'm sick of all these dumb reality shows that are on there lately...

Oh well...I'm thinkin I should go to bed because I have to give a speech about the Darfur genocide tomorrow for the CAP professors...bleh...

eww I smell like burning...

WHOA THIS ROCKS! So we moved Brad over to the townhouses last night...yeah that was fun...but tonight we had the first cookout of the summer over there. It was fun, but genious me decided to take a shower before we went over there....So I get back here and I'm thinking, 'Dang, something smells like smoke! I wonder what's on fire' then I think for a second and I'm like...wow...its me...I smell like smoke because we were just grilling out....wow...

Ok so anyways, not much new and exciting other than that I only have to go to class for 1/2 hour tomorrow and then we arent going on thursday...

um yeah...okay well thats all for now, we're headed to watch Brad play some church softball!

I know, I know, I just posted...

but that's how bored I really am! (and I really didnt just post...it was like midnight last night and thats a good 20 hours ago...) I mean, I only have one speech I could start preparing for but whoops! I just 2 weeks ago wrote a 13 page paper on the same topic! So, that makes things much easier for me but much more boring in the process...its driving me crazy!!! So in the next week there could be like...ya know 4 or 5 posts a day ;) ok if I ever get that bad PLEASE someone just put me out of my misery!

We just watched In Good Company...I hated the ending for all you who have seen it...I'm really annoyed, but its okay because Topher Grace is so cute! I wish I had a friend named Topher...just kidding I do have a friend named Topher...but I dont call him that kuz its weird...

Have you ever noticed how some names look weird when they're written out? like Topher...its like the T is taking over the o and the p...Or Shanaynay the Sh in the beginning like set this standard of height in the word and the rest of the letters kinda just...well suck is all I can think of right now...

So Rachel and I were just talking and we figured out that only Rachel, Rick and I are in the building...she said we could run thru the halls screaming...I said we could run thru the halls nekkid...she didnt think that was a good idea...me neither...Another idea Rachel had was going for a midnight bike ride...I told her "um no thanks I dont want to get raped"

Rachel cant handle wet hair...so if you ever want to see her puke-give her a wad of wet hair...ya know like the stuff you find in your shower drain...haha

Okay well I really dont have anything else to say (not that I did in the beginning of this post) so I'm going to go...to bed...yeah thats right...its 10:54 and I'm going to bed...soon...i promise

His Name Means Fish!

Yeah I really don't know what that's about, but I'm sitting in my room watching VH1 and trying to make myself go to sleep...not sure why...but I am...

The reason I dont know why I'm trying to go to bed is because oral comm is CANCELLED for tomorrow! ROCK, ROCK ON! I know, right? Ok, I'm done...

Rachel figured out today that we've only been in the class 37% of the scheduled time and what is beautiful about today is that I'm halfway through this class!!!! I LOVE IT! (I'm doing the leg-kick too) :) just kidding!

I'm taking care of Kyle's plants...they're not really getting any better...I finally pulled off the dead flowers on top and it looks prettier, but I'm not really sure that it's getting better...I gave it some miracle grow...and I'm hoping that it blooms all pretty...I kinda feel like that guy in the Sandra Bullock movie, 28 Days (? not sure) that goes to rehab and asks when it would be okay to date again and they tell him that he should first get a plant. A year later if that is still alive, then get a pet-like a dog, and wait another year and then that would be an okay time to date...so here's my plant, but it was handed to me dead...does that count? does this mean I have to wait 2 years to date again!? gosh I hope not! I've waited long enough anyways, I cant think of waiting for 2 more years! It'd be like end of my junior year! whoa!

Whatever, it'll all work out :) "Whatever's meant to be will be" as Jen says :)

Okay, I'm Back :)

Well...this is sure interesting :) I got my picture to download into my profile, so that could be cool...possibly...

Well to finish the last blog, I'm still here in LRH at UIS. If you're not sure what that means (Lincoln Residence Hall at the University of Illinois at Springfield). So yes, I'm in a 'intensive' 2 week Oral Comm that ROCKS! I love it, I have a speech to write for tomorrow which kinda sucks, but it shouldnt take long to write, it only has to be 3-5 minutes. I think I'm going to talk about how central Illinois is the best part of Illinois...but I'm not sure.

Everyone moved out of LRH last week and it is so quiet and weird here. Rachel and I were joined by a bunch of Singaporian Acrobats (or as my mom says acrobats that are from Singapore kuz she thinks it's more P.C.) on Sunday night and they are SOOO loud. Last night I was writing my lesson plan for today and I wanted to walk out in the hall and yell at 'em but I decided to not be 'that girl'. It was fine, they quieted down after a while and then I went to bed.

Today Jen, Rachel, and I went for a bike ride around UIS and LLCC. It was a lot of fun, we went to this old house that is falling down. It was soo pretty, if only somebody had the cash to fix it up.

I want to put a picture in here so we'll see how this goes...


I miss everybody...at least I'll get to see a few people this summer, if I didnt have that to look forward to I dont know what I would do! Since Chris and Matt moved out and Brad's at home there are only like 6 UIS students in the dorm and I dont like it at all. Once Brad's back it'll be more normal and once I go home I guess I wont have to worry about it :)

I thought I was ready to go home but I guess not! haha, well its time to get to work!

Whoa! It's Over!

This whole year has FLOWN by! I can't believe its already over! I'm a sophomore :) I can't believe it...I say that a lot huh? but I can't, I can't believe it at all!!

Right now, I'm in Summer Oral Communication, it takes 2 weeks and runs from 9am-3pm and it ROCKS! I love it, I would suggest it for anybody. I have 3 Speeches to write (4 to give) and I'm not really ready for it, but I'm sure it'll be fine!

Okay, well its time for a nice relaxing bike ride with Jen and Rachel, I'll come back to this later!!
